01 / THE WHY

More than a game.
A future worth
showing up for.

Every young person deserves the chance to discover who they are—and what they can bring to the world.

The Acton Quest Classic is a golf tournament fundraiser supporting Acton Academy Amarillo: a learning community where young people take ownership, develop character, and discover their calling.

We’re bringing together people who care about Amarillo’s next generation to create a day of golf with a lasting purpose. Before anyone tees off, we need a team to make it possible.

02 / BUILD IT WITH US

The right people.
The first six priorities.

Bring your experience, your connections, or your willingness to roll up your sleeves. There’s a meaningful place for you here.

01

Host course needed

Course & venue

Help us find a course that shares the vision—and make the introduction that gets us on the green.

What you could help with +
  • Connect with potential host courses
  • Compare availability, costs, and course support
  • Help secure a venue partnership

A good fit for: A club connection, local relationships, or a talent for making things happen.

02

Date & time TBD

Date & tournament day

Turn a great idea into a well-run day. Help choose the date and build a plan from arrival to the final putt.

What you could help with +
  • Coordinate a date with the selected course
  • Plan tee times and the day’s schedule
  • Map event-day volunteers and logistics

A good fit for: An organized planner who enjoys getting the details right.

03

Pricing to be decided

Budget & pricing

Build the financial foundation for a thoughtful fundraiser, with a great player experience and a clear purpose.

What you could help with +
  • Gather costs and build a working budget
  • Recommend player and team pricing
  • Shape sponsorship opportunities with the team

A good fit for: A business-minded builder with experience in finance, sales, or sponsorships.

04

Donation partners needed

Swag bags & donations

Bring local generosity to every player’s bag. Find the brands, gifts, and thoughtful extras that make the day memorable.

What you could help with +
  • Invite in-kind gifts and product donations
  • Coordinate useful, memorable swag bags
  • Track contributions and partner recognition

A good fit for: A relationship builder with local business or brand connections.

05

Meal plan TBD

Food & hospitality

Make people feel looked after. Help us explore breakfast, lunch, or both, and find the partners to bring it to life.

What you could help with +
  • Explore breakfast and/or lunch options
  • Connect with food and beverage partners
  • Coordinate service and dietary needs

A good fit for: A natural host, food partner, or someone with an eye for a welcoming experience.

06

Outreach team needed

Marketing & outreach

Give this first tournament a strong voice. Help tell the story and bring players, partners, and our community together.

What you could help with +
  • Shape the event’s story and campaign
  • Build business and community connections
  • Plan promotion once event details are confirmed

A good fit for: A storyteller, marketer, designer, or well-connected community champion.

A single introduction can make a big difference. You don’t need to lead a committee to help.

Bring what you can

03 / A SEAT AT THE TABLE

Don’t just attend.
Help set the course.

We’re forming a founding tournament board: a volunteer team to turn this vision into a thoughtful, well-run fundraiser.
